Patients are the only constant
Every provider changes. Every system is different. But you are there for every appointment, every test, every hospital stay. You should hold the record.
Healthcare has spent decades building systems for providers, for payers, for researchers. The patient is always the subject of the data, never the owner.
exora starts from a different premise: patients should own and understand their health data.
Our principles
You own your data
Your health information belongs to you. Not to us, not to your provider, not to an insurance company. You.
We never sell your data
Your health data will never be sold, shared for advertising, or monetized in any way. This is non-negotiable.
You control access
You decide who sees your health data, what they see, and for how long. You can revoke access at any time.
You can leave anytime
Delete your account and all your data is permanently removed. No retention, no questions, no dark patterns.
Transparency over secrecy
Every AI extraction links back to the source document. You can verify anything. We show our work.
When patients have clarity and control over their health data, everything else follows. Providers get better information. Care coordination actually works. The health system gets the connective tissue it has been missing.
How we are making this last
Principles are only as durable as the company that holds them. The five above are commitments we have made as a founder-led company - and a founder cannot speak for a company a decade from now.
So we are actively exploring formal structures that would make these commitments legally binding rather than culturally aspirational. B Corp certification. Public benefit corporation conversion. Mission-locked ownership models like perpetual purpose trusts. Constitutional clauses that require supermajority approval to change.
The goal is simple: exora should be structurally incapable of being sold to a data broker, an advertising platform, or anyone whose interests conflict with patients. We will share more as these structures are formalised.
